I recently asked someone if she’d write a guest post for my blog. I’d never done this before but so enjoy her Facebook posts that I thought I’d ask. She said yes and then asked what my blog was about. I loved this because I often leap first too. I gave her a wiggly answer and then thought about it some more.
My blog is part business but mostly a personal journal. I call it the Work Life Lab because it’s my place to test, try, and explore stuff about work and life. There are little snack-sized, professional self-help bits mixed in with more, main course-sized observations from my life and family. I tend to write about the moments that make me simultaneously smile and wonder “what the fuck?!”
The material is disorganized and lacks a real theme. If the posts are strung on any common thread, maybe it’s this: I’m fiercely committed to the truth that we’re born equal. It’s our daily choices that make us different, better versions of ourselves. I believe owning our decisions and actions (and the outcomes that come with) is the path to a happier, more satisfying life. I can’t be convinced otherwise and like to write when I feel right.
The grammar is loose and the typos many. The pictures are ho-hum, and I don’t post with any regularity. I overuse exclamation points and occasionally cuss. If you can see past that shit, you might find a chuckle here and there. I hope you do.
So, if you don’t know what you’re looking for but just want a little something sometimes, you’re in the right place. Welcome. Oh, one last thing... I love hearing from people. Drop me a line on email or social to say hello.
