Use time-blocking Time-blocking is scheduling important tasks on your calendar to ensure they get done. First, update your "to do" list and flag your top 2 or 3 priorities. Estimate the time required to complete them and schedule it. Treat this time like any other commitment on your calendar and avoid dismissing it or scheduling other meetings at the same time.
